As I have been puttering about the house on this fine Memorial Day weekend, lamenting that I didn't plan a weekend getaway to some exciting place, I realized that no small number of you must be at home for the long weekend as well.

my plans are lots of sewing, dinners with family and friends, and planting all the new stuff I got this morning at the nursery, coffee tomorrow morning with my Italian conversation group, and maybe baking a lemon cake. no getaway for me but happy for a long weekend.

Saturday we ran errands. Yesterday we party hopped like 20 somethings (we are in our 50's.) A Baby Shower, then a Pig Picking, then to see a band. Today we shall do as little as possible. Gotta recover ;)
