Madison Avenue Monday: Jammed Zippers and Split Seams
A really cute ad for Talon brand zippers and thread.
Though I do think the ad man or woman slipped a bit with the props the folks hold in the background. One gentleman holds a paper where the headline reads "Give up or be slaughtered." Scary!
Guess that's why films and tv tend to use a standard prop newspaper now. Ever noticed this paper with the woman's head. Kinda funny to see how prevalent that newspaper is: http://www.slashfilm.com/lol-the-reoccurring-prop-newspaper/
That is a fun ad for sure, though I totally agree with you about the newspaper headline. How did someone at the ad agency not catch that? (Unless, and this is a tad scary, it was included on purpose.)
Thank you very much for your wonderfully sweet comment on my vintage outfit post this week. I miss living near Forever 21 (there isn't one around for several hours), but thankfully they do have an online shop here in Canada, too, which includes a decent portion of their stock, so I can still get my Forever 21 fix occasionally :)
Wishing you a peacefully gorgeous Thursday, dear friend, ♥ Jessica

ReplyDeleteOh that is so interesting! I had no idea that the same newspaper prop is used over and over. Now I'm going to watch for that newspaper in films.
DeleteHahaha. I hate when that happens. The newspaper and the zipper bursting. But how on earth did that skinny model break a zipper? ;)
ReplyDeleteWell she didn't use a Talon zipper of course! :-)
